Email newsletter

If you choose to subscribe, we process your email address for sending occasional project updates. Our existing subscription workflow requests email confirmation (double opt-in), and newsletters include an unsubscribe method. We use the details you provide for subscription administration and communications you requested.

We do not require you to subscribe to read articles or view public pages. If you dismiss our optional newsletter invitation, we may save that preference in your browser so the invitation is not shown repeatedly. When you sign up, we may determine your approximate country using your network IP address and the third-party GeoIP service country.is. We store only the resulting two-letter country code alongside your subscription for aggregate audience statistics, not the IP address for geolocation. Country identification may be unavailable or imprecise. Our existing anti-abuse system separately stores a temporary, non-reversible hash of the connecting IP address.

Links & embedded content

Pages may link to third-party platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and X. When you open an external link or activate embedded content, the relevant provider may process information under its own privacy terms. External content can operate differently from our website.

Advertising & cookies

We may introduce advertising in the future. Before enabling advertising technologies, we will update the relevant disclosures and implement any legally required consent controls.

Depending on the payment service, we may receive payment confirmation and the contributor details that the service shares. We do not add supporters to our email newsletter automatically. Blockchain transactions are public and may be traceable. See the support page for the available methods.

Questions, access & removal

You may ask questions about personal data, request access or correction, and request deletion where applicable. The newsletter unsubscribe option stops future newsletter messages. Depending on applicable law, other data protection rights may also apply.
